Read This Before You Pitch
We publish writing from people who actually run sales teams, not writing produced to place a link.
If you are offering a paid guest post, a link insertion, a sponsored placement, or an article written by someone who has never done the work, the answer is no. Saying so here saves us both an email.
If you have run a pipeline, chased leads on WhatsApp, managed reps across locations, or fixed a follow-up process that was broken, we want to hear from you.
WHAT WE PUBLISH
The ViveLead blog is read by founders and sales managers at small and mid-sized businesses in India, mostly in real estate, education and coaching, IT services and agencies.
They are looking for how something was done, by someone who did it. Not a definition of CRM, and not a listicle assembled from other listicles.
The pieces that do well here have one thing in common. The writer can say what they tried, what it cost, what broke, and what the number looked like afterwards.
WHO WE ACCEPT
You are a fit if you are one of these, and can show it:
- You run or manage a sales team, at any size
- You run an agency, a coaching institute, a brokerage, a dealership or a services business
- You work in sales operations, revenue operations or marketing operations
- You have implemented a CRM, a WhatsApp Business setup, or an HR and payroll process, and lived with the result
- You are a ViveLead customer or partner with something worth telling other operators
You are not a fit if writing is the service you sell and the subject is only the vehicle. That is not a judgement on your writing. It is that our readers can tell.
TOPICS WE WANT
Anything in these areas, told from your own experience:
- Selling on WhatsApp: what you send, when you send it, what gets answered, what gets you blocked
- Lead follow-up: speed to first response, chasing without annoying, what you do with leads that go cold
- Running a sales team: targets, pipeline reviews, what you track daily, what you stopped tracking
- Moving off spreadsheets: what the migration actually cost you in time and mistakes
- Lead sources: what Meta lead ads, Google, listings or referrals really returned for you
- HR and payroll for a small Indian team: attendance, compliance, the parts nobody warns you about
- A process that failed, and what you did next. We will publish this. It is rarer and more useful than a success story.
A specific story beats a broad topic every time. “How we cut first response time from 6 hours to 11 minutes with two people” is a pitch. “WhatsApp marketing tips” is not.
WHAT WE WILL NOT PUBLISH
- Anything written by AI, in whole or in part. We check, and we can tell.
- Content published elsewhere first, spun, or syndicated.
- Generic listicles, including “top 10 CRM tools” and its variants.
- Pieces whose real purpose is a link to a client.
- Anything we have already covered, unless you are adding something we got wrong.
- Casino, betting, crypto, adult, loans, pharmacy, essay writing, or any adjacent category.
- Vendor copy about your own product. Teach first. Your company appears in your bio, not in the argument.
LINKS, PAYMENT AND DISCLOSURE
This section exists because most people who write to us are asking about this part.
- We do not sell links. Not in posts, not as insertions into existing posts, not as a listing.
- We do not pay for contributions, and we do not accept payment for them.
- You get one link, to your site or your LinkedIn, in your author bio. It carries
rel="nofollow". - No commercial links inside the article. You may link to research, data or documentation that supports a claim, and we will check each one.
- No reciprocal link arrangements, and no link exchanges with other sites.
- If we ever run a sponsored piece, it will be labelled Sponsored on the page and its links will carry
rel="sponsored".
Google’s spam policies treat a link acquired through payment or an exchange as a violation unless it is marked, and the marking is a separate requirement from the quality of the link. We would rather publish less and keep the blog clean.
FORMAT AND REQUIREMENTS
- Length: 1,200 to 1,800 words. Longer is fine if every paragraph earns its place.
- Original and unpublished, and not offered elsewhere while we are reading it.
- At least one first-hand specific: a number, a timeline, a cost, a message you actually sent, a screenshot with the customer data removed.
- Structure: a clear opening claim, subheadings, short paragraphs. No keyword stuffing.
- Claims are sourced. If you say most teams do something, show where that comes from.
- Indian context where relevant: rupees, GST, DLT, WhatsApp policy, IST. Our readers operate here.
- Screenshots and images are welcome. Remove every real name, number and email first.
- Your bio: real name, one or two lines, a photo, and your one link.
HOW TO PITCH
Do not send a finished article first. Pitch it.
Email contact@vivelead.com with the subject line Contributor pitch, and include:
- Three headlines, in the specific form described above
- Two links to things you have written, or if you have not written publicly, two paragraphs on the story you want to tell
- One line on what you do, so we can see the experience behind it
We reply within five working days. If we say yes, we agree the angle before you write, so you are not writing on spec.
WHAT YOU GET
- A byline with your name, photo and bio on a page read by operators in your market
- One
nofollowlink in the bio - An editor who will actually edit, and tell you why
- The piece promoted on our channels, and yours to share anywhere you like
- A standing invitation to write again if the first one lands
What you do not get is a dofollow link, a fee, or a guaranteed publication date. If those are the point, we are not the right site.
EDITORIAL RIGHTS
- We edit for clarity, length, accuracy and house style. Substantive changes come back to you before publication.
- Acceptance of a pitch is not a commitment to publish.
- We may decline a finished piece, and we may unpublish or update anything later.
- By submitting, you confirm the work is yours, is original, and does not infringe anyone’s rights, and you grant us a perpetual, worldwide licence to publish and promote it. You keep the copyright and may republish after 30 days with a canonical link back to us.
- We do not add affiliate links to your piece, and you do not add any to ours.
